DescriptionMaya polychrome vase, Late Classic period, with two rectangular panels, each containing a seated ruler on a raised throne. One ruler's head is facing right, seeping coiffure holding large draping plumes at the back, a ceremonial bundle (?) at the side, and glyphs in the field. Two vertical bands of geometric designs separating the panels, and similar bands above. Painted in dark brownish-orange, pale orange, and white on a black ground.
