DescriptionMaya seated male effigy vessel, Late Classic period, in two separate parts of a seated robust figure with crossed legs. The left hand is to his stomach, the right to his shoulder, with frowning expression. He is wearing a flayed skin near his mouth and across the left cheek. There is a broad head band tied at the back and applied pellets. It is painted in buff, black and brownish-orange, and incised in glyphs.
