DescriptionA pair of Meissen Augustus Rex yellow-ground slender oviform vases and domed covers. Each is painted with three ogival panels by J. E. Stadler. The panels are painted with Chinoiserie figures and children on terraces among flowering plants and by incense-burners, with exotic birds and insects flying above. Both covers have ormolu finials, one cover an 18th Century German faience replacement.
