DescriptionMeissen traveling tea and chocolate service in the original case, decorated in colours with various scenes taken at Augustus Rex's silver mines in Saxony. The source of his income from which he financed his Meissen porcelain factory. The service is moulded with scrollwork underglaze and includes gilt bordered panels painted with coloured flowers. The original fitted case has its original leather covering, the in red scaling wax.

Tea-pot and cover, attached by silver gilt chain.
Tea canister and cover with contemporary silver gilt mount.
Sucrier and cover, Milk Jug.
4 Teacups and saucers.
