DescriptionMeissen gold Chinese gadrooned tea bowls and saucers painted at Augsburg with chinoiserie figures on terraces holding parasols with birds and insects above. They are among palm trees and flowering plants supported on scrolls and foliage within shaped quatrefoil cartouches reserved on a gold ground. The reverse of the saucers and exterior of tea bowls has gadroons painted in gilt with scrolls and dots. The interior of the tea bowls are painted with birds.
