DescriptionMeissen cylindrical Chinoiserie tankard with contemporary Dresden silver-gilt mounts. It is painted with three Chinese figures, and a dog taking tea on a terrace. It has an underglazed-blue surround and quatrefoil gilt Böttger-lustre and iron-red Laud-und-Bandelwerk cartouche. The mounts have ball thumb piece and set with a medallion. The foot rim has a dentil-pattern. The mounts are by Ehrenfried Herfarth, Dresden, before 1726.
