DescriptionA rare Kakiemon porcelain ewer and cover, the shoulders decorated in coloured enamels with a Ho-o bird in flight amongst stylized clouds and flames. Below is a band of peony flower heads and scrolling foliage. The reverse with pomegranates.
.The footrim with a double red band. The shaped top of the neck and cover with a simple cash motif in enamels. A simple loop handle finishes the design.
