DescriptionMaya carved cylinder vase, Late Classic period, with two rectangular panels, each containing a young lord seated within a palace. One with his right arm raised and holding a shallow bowl near his bowed head, with crossed legs and long striated coiffure held at the back. The other figure has raised and gesturing arms, his right leg crossed under the left. Both lords wearing pendulous ear ornaments, incised and sashed loin-cloths, and with two separating panels containing glyphs. It is painted with red, white, and pale blue pigment.
