DescriptionWorcester coffee can, feather-moulded with silver-shaped scroll handle. It has black transfer-printed decoration of "The Siesta" and "Le Chalet", with pencilled diaper pattern border. 'The Siesta' is known with the signature of Robert Hancock, but 'Le Chalet' can only be attributed to him. Both prints are in the style of Jean Pillement and were probably taken from 'The Ladies Amusement' 1760s.
