DescriptionWorcester mug (half-pint), cylindrical with grooved handle. Decorated with two black transfer-prints attributed to Robert Hancock. On one side in black, is the 'Gardener Grafting tree' print for which no source has yet been identified. On the other side there is teh 'Whitton Anglers', three wonderfully elegant figures fishing in a pond. They form part of a view drawn and engraved by William Woollett, entitled 'A View of the Canaal and of the Gothic Tower in the garden of His Grace the Duke of Argyle at Whitton in Middlesex'. The mug has gilt-line borders on the rim and around the base.
