DescriptionPlate is "Montague pierced" shape, with piercing outlined in gilt. The centre has a turquoise ground overpainted with a red parrot with some black in tail and head plumage and blue at neck. The bird sits on a large knarled branch in gilt with brown highlights, with rather Asian-style leaves. The whole centre area on the back is covered in turquoise ground.
