DescriptionChinese porcelain vase of Gu-form, cylindrical with flared lip and foot, and paneled mid section. It is incised band of flowerheads and scrolls at the mouth, and hatched mountain band below mid section, double lines at foot, and stepped base unglazed. Decorated in underglaze blue with three registers the upper with a scholar and two attendants in a pavilion overlooking a pond where a figure collects lotus blossoms. The middle register has four flying cranes with cloud scrolls, and the lower with pendant leaf tips.
