DescriptionBöttger stoneware teapot and cover, with a globular body and an applied loop-handle and short spout. The flat cover has a ball-knop, glazed on the exterior and is decorated with lacquer in colours showing panels of Chinese figures in gardens. It is reserved on a "powdered" gilt ground, impressed crescent, and the decoration is rubbed.
