DescriptionA yellow ground cup and saucer of octagonal shape, with an angular gilded handle. The sides are decorated with three quatrefoil reserves which are painted on a white ground, and has polychrome enamels including lustre with a 'Kakiemon' design. Inside of the cup are sprays of Asian-style flowers. The octagonal saucer is yellow on the underside. The inside of the saucer is decorated in similar fashion with a 'Kakiemon' décor in multicolour. The edge of the saucer and the inside of the cup have a gilded scroll design at each corner. A gold band under the rim of the saucer, cup and base of cup.
