DescriptionColumbian covered vessel, Rio de Magdalena, with a tall cylindrical body, moulded under the rim with three avials, each grasping a club in both talons. They have a long open beak and slit eyes, and are separated by lug handles. It is surmounted by a domed lid with a seated male figure, his hands placed on his raised knees. He has a large head with an incised mouth, bulging heavy-covered eyes, ridged ears, and short coiffure. Traces of buff and brown pigment.
