DescriptionThe standing male figure in a slightly contorted pose, with one hand he holds a hat, while the other tugs at a pillory. There is a wooden framework worn around his neck for public humiliation, and the grimacing face under the cap attached by a chin strap is attached to loose rod, to be extended for comic effect. Harlequins distinctive costume is imitated with molded triangles and buttons. The figure stands on a molded hexagonal plinth.
