DescriptionPair of Arita faceted flasks with tapering neck moulded in eight sides and enamelled in the Kakiemon style. Over the transparent glaze there are butterflies, chrysanthemums and autumn grasses. The necks are decorated with suspended garlands of flowerheads and foliate scroll, and the lips are painted with a gilt band. French ormolu mounts cast with leaf scroll.
