DescriptionMeissen Hausmaler saucer, painted by Elisabeth Auffenwerth with a mythological scene of a young man sleeping on puce and yellow drapery. His gilt staff is to one side, and he is being visited by Diana, who is wearing a billowing iron-red drapery over her puce robe. Standing on a worn gilt crescent moon, and a deer to her side. This image is against a schwarzlot landscape within an oxidized silver border of flowerheads and scrollwork. The rim and footrim has an oxidized silver band border.
