DescriptionMeissen yellow ground sugar bowl and cover, painted by the "Shadow Painter", Johann Gottfried Klinger, of circular shape with slightly mounded lid. The bowl and lid reserved with two barbed and lobed panels outlined in sepia and enclosing floral clusters including tulips, carnations, anemones and sweet peas with shadowed flying insects, in polychrome enamels. Bud finial heightened with gilding.
