DescriptionDerby cup and saucer with a brilliant yellow ground. The cup is decorated with three reserves, one large octagonal and two smaller oval on either side enclosed in wide gilt bands. The scenes depict rural landscapes in Derbyshire. The saucer has two octagonal and two oval reserves with similar landscapes. The gilt banded white reserve in the centre of the saucer bears a gilded wreath of vines which is repeated inside the rim of the cup. The scrolled handle is heightened in gilt. Bands of gilt surround the rim and base of the cup and the rim of the saucer.
