DescriptionLongton Hall pair of dishes of circular form with a wavy rim. They are moulded with rococo scrolls picked out in puce, purple and gilt, and enclosing eight alternating panels of diaper pattern and pierced trelliswork. An inner band of eight smaller panels are framed by puce or pale green scrolls moulded with trellis pattern and painted with diaper pattern. They are reserved on yellow wicker-basket weave ground. The centre of the dished with a woven design painted in tones of yellow.
