DescriptionAn Urbino Istoriato armorial plate, from the workshop of Orazio Fontana, painted with the goddess Latona changing the Lysian peasants, who had insulted her, into frogs. The goddess is on the right with the infant Diana in her arms, and the child Apollo behind. The peasants are on the left before the lake with buildings and distant mountains. There is a coat-of-arms suspended from a chain in a grisaille cartouche.
