DescriptionVeracruz head of Xipe Totec, Classic period, wearing the skin of the sacrificed victim over his face, with open mouth and slightly protruding tongue. The head has sunken eyes, domed smooth head, perforated ears, and traces of pinkish-tan paint remaining.
