DescriptionMeissen double-handled fruit basket of oval shape. The exterior moulded with the Sulkowski basketry pattern simulating a bold diagonal weave. The base and outer rim resembling cording with rope handles terminating in male and female masks representative of the Four Seasons, and the interior enamelled in the Kakiemon style, with the ‘Flying Dog’ (Fliegender Hund) pattern depicting a winged animal, a swooping crane, and a cluster of flowers with a large beetle and other insects.
