DescriptionA Chelsea octagonal bowl, painted in purple monochrome around the exterior with a single figure on each side. They are depicting a lady and seven dancing Italian Comedy figures in an airy landscape, each connected by a length of iron-red ribbon. The interior has a tambourine player wearing a knife thrust through an iron-red belt and dancing before a small cliff and a distant mountain. The upturned rim has a small blue-centred rose blossom concealing a flaw.
