DescriptionA Chelsea Aesop's Fable-decorated octagonal teacup and yellow-ground saucer painted in the manner of Jefferyes Hamett O'Neale. The cup has an elaborate scrolled handle, decorated in polychrome enamels with a depiction of 'The Lion and Mouse'. The interior has florals and an insect. The saucer is decorated with a depiction of 'The Fox and Grapes', inside a double iron-red line circular cartouche, surrounded by scattered florals. The exterior has a yellow-ground, and chocolate brown line rims.
