DescriptionChinese porcelain vase of Gu-form, cylindrical with flared lip and foot, and a paneled mid section. It has an incised band of flowerheads and scrolls at the mouth, and hatched mountain band below mid section, double lines at foot, and a rounded base unglazed. Decorated in underglaze blue with three registers the upper with a scholar and attendant holding a flag, followed by an attendant holding a gift. There are two young children bearing a dish and a robe, watched by two guardian attendants, in a landscape. The middle register has lingzhi scroll and the lower with pendant leaf tips.
