DescriptionBow Italian comedy figure of Scapin, modelled by 'The Muses Modeller'. He is wearing a pale blue cap and collar, a puce cloak hiding his right hand, and a black-tasselled white jacket patterned with iron-red, blue, yellow and green flowers. His white trousers are striped in puce, yellow, blue and black, a dagger thrust through the brown purse at his waist. His left hand (missing but intended to be holding a hat) extended, and leaning against a stump on a flat square base.
