DescriptionA Berlin armorial Hausmalerei ewer of helmet-shape, waved and fluted with a scroll handle edged in puce and with a lambrequin border. Is is painted with the crowned arms of Saxony and Poland within gilt foliate cartouche. It is above a shepherdess seated with some of her flock and with another playing a harp in a continuous landscape with trees. It is painted iron-red, green and yellow flower-sprays between chocolate lines.
