DescriptionA Meissen Hausmaler bowl decorated in the workshop of Franz Mayer of Pressnitz. It has two allegorical scenes representing the Senses of Sight and Smell. On one side a seated lady is looking at a portrait held in her raised hand. On the other a lady is offering snuff to her companion. It is painted in green, brown, red and black on a fawn ground.
