DescriptionA Meissen Hausmalerai hexagonal baluster-shaped tea caddy and cover, painted by J.F. Metzsch en grisaille. It has buildings in an extensive river landscape and alternate fruit and flower-sprays suspended by puce drapery within raised gilt ribs. The shoulder has scrolling foliage in iron-red and gilt, and the cover has flowerheads on it.
