DescriptionMeissen Chinoiserie and 'Fabeltier' plate from the "gold and black striped" service. It is painted in the style associated with A.F. von Lowenfinck with a goat-like creature flanked by indianischen Blumen. The well has the black and gold border to a continuous chinoiserie scene with a sun above an Asian landscape on one side. Possibly concealed signature beside the Chinese figure and child, the pine and other trees rendered in a manner typical of this chinoiserie, and there is a shaped brown-edged rim.
